My Favorite Masks
It's hard to believe that it's almost been a year since I suggested to my mom that we get some masks in case our governor puts out a mask mandate. As I'm sure you do, too, I remember the confusion and chaos of that third week of March 2020. I had just come home from New York for what I was thought was an extra-long spring break spent in my childhood home in northern Massachusetts. My mom and I had stocked up on craft supplies and new books, and we'd made a list of all of the local hikes we could take while social distancing.
Wanting to support a small business, I placed an order for my first face mask on Etsy. Since then, my collection has grown and I have all kinds of masks for different scenarios.
Here are some of my favorites, and where to get your own!
Brin Boat Masks
I've gotten quite a few masks off of Etsy, but these are by far my favorite. They are light, form-fitting, and washer/dryer safe. Every time I wear them I get a compliment, and the seller offers free shipping!

Lotus & Luna
I first found these masks at The Paper Store and I became OBSESSED. These masks are not only pretty, but the elastics aren't irritating like others I've tried, and they are super easy to breathe in. I spent the summer of 2020 back at my amusement park job, walking around in mid-August heat. These masks are really comfy, affordable, and great for exercise, outdoors, and making a fashion statement.

Universal Thread
These masks are great if you're on a budget. I found them for just $2 at my local Target. The nose piece is really helpful, especially when I'm wearing my glasses. They're super affordable, comfy and machine washable!
